Before you arrive in France, the best thing to do is to collect all your important documents. You'll be asked for them when you enrol at university, if you sign an employment contract, if you need to renew your visa...

👉 Here's the list if you're not from an EU member country:
  • Your identity documents: passport, birth certificate, driving licence.

  • Documents relating to your studies: language level certificate (DELF, DALF, etc.), previous diplomas, certificate of enrolment at school or university.

  • Your accommodation documents: proof of reservation of your accommodation on arrival or proof of accommodation.

  • Your health insurance documents:

    • You must order your European Health Insurance Card (CEAM) for free before leaving your home country. You can get it from your home country’s health insurance organisation.

    • You must obtain the E 104 form from your affiliation organisation. This form concerns the addition of periods of insurance, employment or of residence - sick leave, maternity leave, paternity leave).
