AVF, the association that welcomes newcomers in major French cities...

Have you just moved to France? Are you moving to Lyon, Lille, Paris or Marseille? The Accueil des Villes Françaises (AVF) is a national association located in several major French cities. Their missions ? Welcoming and supporting newcomers in their new city.

For more than 50 years, the AVF has been facilitating geographical mobility, for a new life in a new city.

👉Their missions:

  • A warm welcome is provided at the reception desks by qualified volunteers who listen and provide information.

  • Friendly meetings and events that allow newcomers to connect with each other, better understand and discover the city, and become familiar with the association.


👉Within the AVF of Lyon, teams are classified by district or theme:

  • Lyon 2

  • Lyon 3

  • Lyon 4

  • Lyon 6

  • Lyon 7 and 8

  • Evenings & Weekends


🕒The opening hours in Lyon are as follows:

  • Tuesday to Thursday from 2pm to 4.30pm

  • Thursday from 10:30 to 12:00

  • 1st, 3rd and 5th Friday of the month from 7.30pm to 9pm
